Are you a user of COMSOL Multiphysics, and would like to get acquainted
with advanced modelling features? This two-day course will give you the tools you
need to realise the full potential of COMSOL Multiphysics.
Contents
- Fine-tuning solvers, and solving strategies for complex models
- Transport (charge, heat, mass) in thin shells
- Parametrising your model
- Accurate computation methods for forces, currents and
mass and heat fluxes using Lagrange-multipliers
- Non-local coupling variables
- Advanced meshing and postprocessing
- Equation-based modelling
- Command line COMSOL Multiphysics modelling using
interface to MATLAB
- Extended Multiphysics - Coupling physics on boundaries, subdomains,
2D to 3D and more
The topics will be exemplified with modelling exercises from chemical
engineering, electromagnetics, fluid dynamics, structural mechanics,
acoustics, and more. The course will consist of theory sessions intermingled
with hands-on computer exercises where you can apply what you have learned.
Depending on the interests of the attendees, the contents can be slightly modified.
Course Fee
£695 per person (£345 per person for those eligible for academic discounts).
Charges include course materials, lunch and tea or coffee.
Suggested Background
This course is suitable for anyone interested in using
COMSOL Multiphysics for the mathematical modelling of physics phenomena
such as heat transfer, transport phenomena, fluid dynamics,
electromagnetics, photonics, structural mechanics, and acoustics.
Experience in using COMSOL Multiphysics or a completed Introductory course is recommended.
