Introduction
The intensive training course is designed for anyone willing to learn the main aspects of COMSOL Multiphysics, and to become productive in solving Multiphysics problems.
The first day of the course is an introduction to COMSOL Multiphysics, with step by step demonstrations of modelling, and hands-on exercises. The second day covers advanced topics, providing the user in-depth knowledge and confidence to solve more advanced problems.
The examples and exercises are documented and represent realistic problems in a variety of application areas, such as heat transfer, fluid dynamics, electromagnetics, structural mechanics and acoustics.
Contents
Day 1
- Introduction to COMSOL Multiphysics: modelling procedure through a live demonstration
- 2D/3D drawing tools: extrude, revolve, embed, boolean operations, etc.
- Multiphysics application: how to couple different physical phenomena
- Postprocessing tools: types of plots, boundary or subdomain integration, etc.
- Material library
- Parametric studies and sequencing of operations
- Export data and report generation
- COMSOL Multiphysics modules review
Day 2
- CAD import: how to prepare a geometry for analysis (repair and defeaturing tools)
- Advanced mesh features
- Coupling of variables: advanced postprocessing and multiphysics coupling
- Functions and variables
- Solver selection and settings
