Applications Engineer: Structural Analysis

COMSOL, Inc. is seeking an Applications Engineer to join its Los Angeles office.

Primary responsibilities

• Provide technical support for users of COMSOL Multiphysics in the field of structural analysis
• Give product demonstrations at seminars, workshops, conferences, and meetings with customers
• Act as instructor at product training sessions
• Work collaboratively with development engineers and participate in product development

Qualities

• Business oriented
• Genuine interest of mathematical modeling, computational physics, and related software simulation tools, particularly within the field of structural mechanics
• Strong attention to customer service
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• High energy, self-motivated, quick study with positive attitude, flexible nature and goal-oriented work habits

Requirements

• M.A., M.S., or Ph.D. student in engineering, physical sciences, or life sciences
• Experience with mathematical modeling

Preference given to those applicants who have experience with COMSOL Multiphysics.
